Group Permissions Options

The following table explains each of the permission items you can enable for user groups.

Group Permissions

Permission

Description

Create new threads

Creating new threads is permitted.

Post replies

Posting replies to messages is permitted.

Attach documents

Members can attach files to messages. See "Attaching Files to Messages."

Notification from marked threads

Members can elect to receive email notification of messages posted to marked threads. See "Marking Threads."

Notification from participated threads

Members can elect to receive email notification of messages posted to threads in which they have already posted at least one message.

Members of this group will be automatically approved

Members are automatically approved to enter other conferences to which the current group is added. See Managing user authentication.

Access all forums

Members can access all forums that have been made available to the conference.

Moderate all forums

Members moderate all forums in the current conference. See Defining conference managers and moderators.

Search conference

Searching is enabled for group members. See "About Searching."

Manage conference

Members act as conference managers for the current conference.
