NYU and EmplawyerNet™ announce the latest innovation in linking employers with law students. SPECS - STUDENT PROFILE AND E-MAIL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - is the fastest and most efficient way for you to connect directly with NYU law students. SPECS allows employers, via the Internet, to search the NYU School of Law student body based on specific parameters, and to e-mail those students - in a personal group or individually - who match their hiring needs.
All NYU law students are required to complete personal profiles which include their practice and geographic preferences, class year, degree, and other features of their backgrounds enumerated below. SPECS was created to allow employers access to this valuable recruiting information.
Searchable parameters:
- degree
- class year
- geographic preference
- practice area preferences (e.g., litigation, labor, entertainment)
- home state
- practice setting preferences (e.g., law firm, corporation, etc.)
- country of law degree
- foreign language proficiency
E-mail capability:
After a list is compiled, the employer can view the individual profiles and send e-mail to particular candidates or the entire "personal group" that has automatically been created.
Job Listings:
Employers can post jobs on the EmplawyerNet™/NYU site targeted exclusively to NYU students. Of course, employers can still list jobs with our office at no charge by faxing a job description to (212) 995-4076.
The Fee:
- Private employers: $200 for a 12-month subscription
- Public interest employers: free
